Andy Akinwolere's Biography

Andy Akinwolere was Blue Peter's 32nd presenter.

The job was a huge breakthrough for him as he had just arrived in London two months previously and had been working a runner.

Andy Akinwolere was born in West Africa and has lived in Nigeria and France as well as the UK.

When he was 8, he arrived in Birmingham from abroad. Before coming to London he worked in Leeds as a news assistant.

As well as Blue Peter, Andy Akinwolere has presented shows such as Safari 8, and SM:ART.

After five years at Blue Peter, Andy Akinwolere presented his last show there on 28 June 2011.

He is a fan of Arsenal FC.

In 2012, he was one of the celebrities on Dancing on Ice and was paired with Maria Filippov.

However, Andy and Maria were the first pair to be voted off Dancing on Ice.
