John Barrowman's Biography
He appeared on Dancing on Ice, and like fellow contestant Andi Peters, he had a stint in front of camera on Live and Kicking. Barrowman partnered Olga Sharutenko in Dancing on Ice and ended up being the fourth celebrity to leave the show.
In December 2006, John Barrowman signed a civil partnership with his partner Scott Gill, who is an architect.
Although he is most famous for his television appearances, John Barrowman has been nominated for awards for his theatrical performances on both sides of The Atlantic. The actor plays Captain Jack Harkness in Doctor Who and is the star of a 13-part spin-off sci-fi drama, Torchwood - an anagram of Doctor Who - which started in October 2006.
John Barrowman was once told he was "too straight" to appear in Will and Grace - even though he's gay!
