Lee Sharpe was born in Halesowen on 25 May 1971.

Lee Sharpe's TV appearances include Dancing on Ice and Celebrity Love Island where he hit it off with Abi Titmuss. Sharpe was also the object of Jayne Middlemiss's affections.

The Mirror reported how the situation caused Jayne to say: "Abi is a big, fat slag and I want to crunch her face in."

Back in England, Lee Sharpe and Abi Titmuss formed an on-off relationship.

Lee Sharpe had plenty of promise as a footballer and his clubs included Manchester United and Leeds. He also got 8 caps for England.

The Sun has an amusing story of Lee Sharpe not knowing in a pub quiz that before Theo Walcott he was the youngest player to appear for the England Under-21s.

In an interview with The Guardian, Lee Sharpe revealed that some of his footballing highlights were: "hat-trick at Highbury [when Manchester United won 6-2 in 1990], first England cap, debut for Man U, first league title with Man U."

Lee Sharpe partnered by Frankie Poultney skated well in Dancing on Ice, but the judges voted against him in week 7, after a skate-off with Clare Buckfield.

In 2005 Lee Sharpe published his autobiography, My Idea Of Fun.

He set up the Lee Sharpe Foundation with the aim of improving the well-being of children in underprivileged areas around the world.
