In 2011 Katie Stainsby appeared in her first series of ITV's Dancing on Ice. At the time she was 30 years old.

In Dancing on Ice 2011 Katie Stainsby partnered Vanilla Ice.

Katie Stainsby and Vanilla Ice finished seventh.

Although it was her debut on Dancing on Ice in the UK, Katie Stainsby had previously appeared in the Dutch version of the show.

According to the Blackpool Gazette, Katie, who went to Highfield High School, was a childhood friend of fellow Dancing on Ice skater Dan Whiston.

Katie Stainsby was also a childhood friend of a previous Dancing on Ice skater Stuart Widdall.

They both turned professional at 16 years old. In 2004, Katie and Stuart started skating adagio pairs together.

Before then, Katie Stainsby, who is 5'5", took part in the British Nationals in free skating, and was champion 4 times in the Blackpool Annual Opens.

She has skated in Blackpool's Pleasure Beach's Hot Ice show and the Norbert Schramm website lists many of Katie Stainsby's credits focussing on those in Germany.

Katie Stainsby was selected to be one of the professional ice skaters to appear in the final series of Dancing on Ice in 2014. She was paired with Gary Lucy.
