Dan Whiston's Early Life
Dan Whiston heralds from Blackpool and has performed there most notably in the Hot Ice Show at Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
Dan Whiston started skating when he was seven. His sister Emma was also a professional skater.
Daniel Whiston told The Stage about how he got involved in Hot Ice.
"I used to sell ice cream in the arena and finally I was chosen to take part in the show for the first time at the age of 18."

Dan Whiston on Dancing on Ice
In 2013, Dan Whiston was paired with Beth Tweddle on Dancing on Ice, and they won.
In 2012, Dan Whiston was partnered by Jennifer Ellison in Dancing on Ice. They just missed out on the final and came fourth.
In Dancing on Ice 2011, Dan Whiston was paired with Kerry Katona. Daniel and Kerry came eighth in Dancing on Ice.
In Dancing on Ice 2010, Daniel Whiston skated with Hayley Tamaddon and they won the series.
Dan and Hayley consistently scored well and in week 9 of Dancing on Ice they even gained a standing ovation from the judges as well as a maximum score.
In Dancing on Ice in 2009, Daniel Whiston partnered Roxanne Pallett. Dan and Roxy ended up sixth on Dancing on Ice.
Daniel Whiston, who partnered Linda Lusardi in Dancing on Ice in 2008, is a previous winner of the ITV show, having won Dancing on Ice in 2006 with Gaynor Faye.
Dan Whiston and Linda Lusardi were eliminated in the seventh week of Dancing on Ice in 2008.
In 2007, Whiston came fourth with Emily Symons, who like Linda Lusardi, was an actress in Emmerdale.
Gaynor Faye and Dan Whiston made a fitness DVD called Gaynor Faye's Fit Friends. An expert in the Daily Mail said of the DVD:
"A fun workout that is easy to follow, but to make a real difference to fat levels and fitness you'd need to do the DVD three times a week."
In November 2017, ITV announced that Dan Whiston would be one of the professional ice skaters on the next series of Dancing on Ice, set to return to the screens in 2018.
He was paired with Cheryl Baker.
Daniel Whiston was appointed Creative Director for Dancing on Ice in 2024.
