Joey Essex's Biography

Joey Donald Essex was born on 29 July 1990.

His father is Donny. His mother Tina committed suicide when Joey was 10 years old.

Joey Essex went to Chigwell Primary School.

He came to widespread public attention in The Only Way is Essex. He first appeared in the second series of TOWIE as the cousin of Chloe Simms. His sister Frankie has also appeared on the show.

He was engaged to fellow TOWIE star Sam Faiers, but they split up in May 2013.

In November 2013, Joey Essex followed in the footsteps of Mark Wright by being a celebrity on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

Both did well on the show. Mark Wright was runner-up in his series, whereas Joey Essex came fourth in 2013.
