Who is Jonnie Peacock?

Jonnie Peacock was born on 28 May 1993 in Cambridge.

He was just 5 years old when he contracted Meningitis, which led to an amputation just below the knee.

Jonnie Peacock went on to become a double Paralympic, World and European T44 100m Champion.

He won his first Paralympic Gold medal in London 2012.

Jonnie Peacock was awarded an MBE in the 2013 New Year’s Honours for services to athletics.

He won gold in Rio, but just missed out on a hat trick of golds when he won joint bronze in T64 100m in Tokyo.

Jonnie Peacock on Strictly Come Dancing

In 2017 he became one of the celebrities on Strictly Come Dancing.

He was paired with Oti Mabuse.

They were the eighth pair to be eliminated.
