Luke Bailey played a recurring role as Sam Bateman in Casualty starting on 2 October 2004. He was half way up a mountain pursuing his hobby of photography when he heard that he got the part.

Previously he had acted in a children's drama called U Get Me for CBBC.

Luke got a place at Manchester on a Writing and Television Production course the same day he heard he got the part on U Get Me.

Luke Bailey also had a part in an adaptation of Jacqueline Wilson's Illustrated Mum.

Luke Bailey told Childline that his earliest memory was:

"Squirting my mum and dad with a Spiderman water pistol when I was two."

But nevertheless, as he mentioned in an interview with BBC's Casualty website:

"I have ridiculously supportive parents and they've never discouraged me from doing anything ..."

In 2007, Luke Bailey together with Shane Lynch, Princess Tamara, Emily Scott and others was a contestant in Sky's Cirque de Celebrite.

Luke Bailey got to the final of Cirque de Celebrite.

Luke Bailey had previously been a contestant on BBC's Just The Two Of Us.

Luke Bailey was a natural selection for Just The Two Of Us as he enjoys music and plays the guitar, although he was so nervous before performing a song on BBC Children in Need in 2005 that he was physically sick beforehand.

Accompanied by Natasha Hamilton, on the first night Luke Bailey got the top vote from the judges in Just The Two Of Us 2007 after singing Don't Cha.

The second night did not go so well and Luke Bailey and Natasha Hamilton were in the bottom three of Just The Two Of Us but were saved from being voted off by judge Trevor Nelson.

Nevertheless Luke Bailey was voted off Just The Two Of Us in the third programme.

His other credits include Waterloo Road.

In 2016, Luke Bailey played Ash in the TV series Ordinary Lies.
