Who is Keith Allen?

Keith Allen was born in South Wales, on 2 September 1953, the son of a submariner.

From a young age he has been in trouble with the authorities including being sent to Borstal for theft at 15 and at 31 being sent to prison for causing criminal damage at the Zanzibar club in Covent Garden.

Keith Allen has a variety of acting credits including appearing on the Comic Strip, playing the Sherriff of Nottingham in the BBC's Robin Hood series, and roles in Shallow Grave and Trainspotting.

He has also presented documentaries such as Tourette de France.

Another string to his bow is music, for example, co-writing World in Motion, England's anthem for the 1990 World Cup.

His children include Lily Allen.

In May 2018, it was revealed that Keith Allen would be one of the candidates on Celebrity Masterchef.
