Sophie Anderton's Biography

Sophie Anderton is no stranger to reality television, having reached the last five of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here in 2004, during which she had a big row with Natalie Appleton, she followed up with Love Island in 2006 and also Sky's Cirque de Celebrite.

In 2013, she became a housemate on Celebrity Big Brother.

Half way through Cirque de Celebrite, Sophie Anderton pulled out having strained her leg.

Sophie Anderton failed to reach the final stages of Love Island, but she certainly did not fail to make an impression - as Anderton herself said: "I wish I'd cried and moaned a little less ... The only thing I would change is kissing Chris. That was rebounding totally. He's my ex-boyfriend!"

Sophie Anderton was born in Bristol in 1977.

Anderton gained fame as the face of Gossard's Wonderbra advertising campaign. However, Sophie ended up battling a cocaine addiction that lasted around 10 years.

Anderton has had a difficult life. She explained to Fiona Bruce in Real Story how she traces her addiction back to when she was prescribed morphine after an horrific car accident as a child.

From 11 to 15 she had 18 operations and could not walk, but nevertheless managed to enter the modelling business at 16. Sophie has had some troubled relationships too. She took a drug overdose after breaking up with Robert Hanson and had to be rushed to hospital. She also had a disastrous relationship with Mark Bosnich.

Sophie Anderton also recently broke up with nightclub owner Mark Alexiou.

Nowadays, Sophie Anderton at the weekend loves "going to bed early and snuggling up with a good book".

In an ironic twist, it was revealed that after Love Island Sophie Anderton was dating Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan, who used to go out with Sarah Bosnich, the ex-wife of Mark Bosnich.

In March 2007, This is London reported on a video circulating of Mark Bosnich and Sophie Anderton being intimate when they were going out, and noted that:

" ... the new man in Sophie's life, businessman Timmy Grech, has vowed to stand by the former Wonderbra girl and is doing everything he can to help get the video ..."
