Shane Lynch was born in Ireland in 1976. He left school early and became a car mechanic working for his father, before joining Boyzone. Shane's two sisters Keavy and Edele were part of B*Witched and back in 1999 there was a curious piece of music history when B*Witched took over from Boyzone at number 1 - the first time a group has replaced members of their own family at number one.

In this interview with the BBC, he explains his approach to acting and motor racing and how he believes in starting from a solid foundation.
