Lucy-Jo Hudson was born in Leeds on 4 May 1983.

She attended the Scala School of Performing Arts.

Her most notable roles include playing Katy Harris in Coronation Street, Rosie Trevanion in Wild at Heart, and Rhiannon Davis in Doctors.

In 2009, Lucy-Jo Hudson married her Coronation Street co-star Alan Halsall, who plays Tyrone Dobbs in the soap.

The wedding ceremony took place at St Bertoline's Church in Barthomley, Crewe.

They split-up briefly in 2016, but soon got back together.

Lucy-Jo Hudson and Alan Halsall have a daughter Sienna-Rae.

In 2017, she was partnered with Rohan Pinnock-Hamilton in the ITV show Dance Dance Dance.
