Siobhan Dillon's path to the last ten of How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria was a strange one.

Siobhan, who was ill for a week could not do justice to her vocal talent and was voted out at the last hurdle, but Emilie Alford who had won a place in the final through a 'sing-off' decided to pull out and Siobhan Dillon as the judge's next choice replaced Emilie as the final Maria.

Siobhan Dillon ended up a very creditable third in How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria, beaten by the eventual winner Connie Fisher and the second placed Helena Blackman.
