Marnie Dickens's Biography
Marnie Dickens comes from the Chiltern Valley in England.
She studied history at Oxford University.
After college, she was a runner on various TV dramas such as the Diary of Anne Frank, then she became a third AD on the likes of Law & Order: UK, and, finally, she became a writer.
Back in 2010, she also wrote for Hackney Hive
An early TV writing credit was on Hollyoaks.
Since then she has been a writer on Ripper Street and The Musketeers.
Her five-part series Thirteen for the revamped online BBC3 was scheduled for its first transmission on 28 February 2016.
Together with Dianne Houston, Marnie Dickens has written a script for Seacole, a biopic of Mary Seacole
In 2015, Screen International made Marnie Dickens one of their Stars of Tomorrow.
She works best in the mornings.
In October 2016, Marnie Dickens was named as one of Bafta's 2016 list of brightest future talent.
