Who is John Partridge?
John Partridge was born on 24 July 1971 in the north of England.He is well known for playing Christian Clarke in EastEnders, the gay brother of Ian Beale's wife Jane. He made his first EastEnders appearance on 17 January 2008. In 2009 the role won him Inside Soap's Sexiest Male award.
He trained as a dancer at the Royal Ballet School (where he was admitted at just 10 years old) and studied musical theatre at the Bush Davies and Doreen Bird performing arts schools.
At 16 John Partridge was part of the original cast of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats. According to an interview with John Partridge in The Times, he estimated his salary then as £275 a week before tax.
John Partridge ended up gaining lead roles in, for example, Starlight Express, Miss Saigon, Rent and Taboo. His injuries led him to move from dancing to singing roles in musical theatre. His appearance in The Drowsy Chaperone led to his being cast in EastEnders.
He has also appeared in a number of television commercials, including Cadbury's Twirl, for which he earned £53,000.
John Partridge loves cooking and eating.
In 2010, along with Sheila Hancock and Charlotte Church, John Partridge became an expert on the BBC1 show Over The Rainbow.
In 2016, John Partridge became one of the housemates on Celebrity Big Brother. He came sixth.
In 2018, he won Celebrity Masterchef.
