Who is Shyko Amos?

She is best known for playing Officer Ruby Patterson in Death in Paradise.

The character is the niece of Commissioner Selwyn played by Don Warrington.

Shyko attended the National Youth Music Theatre of Great Britain.

After gaining a BA Honours Degree in Politics from Queen Mary's University, she did an MA in Musical Theatre at The Guildford School of Acting.

Before Death in Paradise, her acting credits included A Very British Scandal (TV) and several stage performances including in New York.

Shyko Amos is related to Baroness Valerie Amos of Brondesbury.
