Who is Sophie Faldo?

Sophie was a 33 year old when she won The Great British Bake Off in 2017.

She was the star baker in the fifth and ninth weeks of Bake Off.

She grew up in Suffolk, but at the time of Bake Off was living in Surrey with her boyfriend, David.

Sophie Faldo gained a Masters in Psychology at The University of Toulouse.

She then joined the British Army and was an Officer in the Royal Artillery.

She is a proficient cyclist and won gold in the sprint at the National Track Masters Championships after only having cycled for a few months.

She started cycling after getting a back injury when she was a full time rower.

She has also trained to be a stunt woman.

Along with Steven Carter-Bailey and Kate Lyon, she reached the final of Bake Off, which she won.
