Who is Stanley Johnson?
Stanley Johnson was born on 18 August 1940 in Penzance.When he was 12 years old he moved to a farm on the River Exe.
He won a scholarship to study classics at Exeter College, Oxford.
Stanley Johnson worked for a variety of organisations, such as the World Bank, the UN, and the EEC (the forerunner to the EU).
He was a Conservative MEP from 1979-84 for Wight and Hants East.
He was the losing Conservative candidate for Teignbridge in the 2005 general election.
Stanley Johnson's first wife was Charlotte Offlow Fawcett later Charlotte Johnson-Wahl. Their four children include the politician Boris Johnson and the journalist Rachel Johnson. He has two children with his second wife Jennifer Kidd.
His numerous publications include political thrillers.
In 2017, Stanley Johnson became one of the contestants on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
He was the fifth celebrity to be eliminated.
In 2018, Stanley Johnson was one of the celebrities appearing on The Real Marigold Hotel.
In December 2018, Stanley and his daughter Rachel co-hosted the West of England edition of a one-off BBC One documentary River Walks.
