Who is Steve Flint?

He is best known as the editor of Railway Modeller and one of the judges on Channel Five's The Great Model Railway Challenge.

When was he born?

Steve Flint was born in Scarborough in 1954. His father was a fireman.

He studied at Hinderwell School and Scarborough Boys High School.

In 1967 he moved to Hull with his family.

Steve has been a model railways enthusiast for over half a century.

His writing and photographs started appearing in the specialist press in the 1980s.

He joined PECO Publications in 2002.

Based in Devon, their main publications are Railway Modeller and Continental Modeller.

When did Steve Flint become Editor of Railway Modeller?

He became the editor of Railway Modeller in 2008.

It is Britain's most popular model railway publication.

Who else judges on The Great Model Railway Challenge?

His co-judge is model-maker and vlogger Kathy Millatt.
