Who is Nicky Byrne?
Nicky Byrne was born in 1978 in Dublin.He was part of the hugely successful Irish boyband Westlife along with Kian Egan, Mark Feehily, Shane Filan and Brian McFadden.
Westlife, managed by Louis Walsh, sold over 45 million records worldwide, had 14 UK number-one UK singles, and seven top-ten albums.
As a youngster, Nicky Byrne was a top-level goalkeeper and briefly signed for Leeds as a teenager.
In 2012, Nicky Byrne was paired with the new professional dancer Karen Hauer on Strictly Come Dancing. They were the ninth couple to be eliminated.
Nicky Byrne's wife Georgina is the daughter of the former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern.
