Who is Hanna Haarala?

Hanna Haarala, whose partner in series 3 of Strictly Come Dancing was Will Thorp, specialises in Latin American dancing.

Hannah and Will exited Strictly Come Dancing in week 6, upon which Will said:

"Hanna has been such a star, a good dance teacher and a friend ..."

Up until 2003 Hanna partnered fellow Finn, Mikko Kaasalainen, but then she danced with Andrew Cuerden, and they turned professional in Spring 2005.

Hanna, who describes herself as a control freak, started dancing when she was ten - initially she was reluctant, preferring to focus on ice skating.

The BBC's Strictly Come Dancing Site in 2005 revealed that Hanna Haarala's favourite dance changes over time, but at that time she prefered the Paso Doble and Tango, saying: "both dances mirror normal life in that they are full of emotion."
