Jimmy Tarbuck's Biography
"Tarby" was a Butlin's redcoat at Pwlhelli holiday camp in North Wales in the 1950s and got his first TV appearance in 1963 on Comedy Bandbox.
Jimmy Tarbuck went on to host numerous variety shows, for example, Live From The Palladium. He also hosted the superb quiz show Winner Take All for 12 years.
Such was his popularity that Jimmy Tarbuck through the years appeared in a number of shows with his own name. The Jimmy Tarbuck Show, Tarbuck's Luck, Tell Tarby, Tarby and Friends and It's Tarbuck are just a sample.
Liza Tarbuck is Jimmy's daughter.
In 1994 Jimmy Tarbuck was awarded the OBE for services to show business and charity.
Jimmy Tarbuck's great hobby is golf and he hosts his own tournament, the Jimmy Tarbuck Golf Classic.
In Strictly Come Dancing, Jimmy Tarbuck danced with Flavia Cacace, however he had to pull out of the series after being diagnosed with high blood pressure.
