Appropriately enough, series 18 of The Apprentice saw 18 candidates. Although only eleven episodes were scheduled.
Broadcast in 2024, once again Lord Sugar is the hirer / firer with Baroness Karren Brady and Tim Campbell advising him.
Up for grabs was a £250,000 investment from Lord Sugar and his mentorship.
Before the series was brodcast Lord Sugar was asked what he thought was different in 2024, and replied:
"This year, we had more business focused tasks early in the audition process so that my team and the production company could filter out and find serious potential business people."
Baroness Brady commented: "I think it's probably the most highly qualified set of candidates we've ever had."
Likewise Tim Campbell revealed: "I'm really, really excited about the caliber of candidates we've pulled together for this one."
The Apprentice was scheduled to be transmitted on BBC One with 12 episodes starting on February 1, 2024.
Once again, the show was followed by a broadcast on BBC Two of The Apprentice...You're Fired, hosted by Tom Allen.
