Emily Deschanel
Emily Deschanel was born on 4 January 1978 in Los Angeles. She attended Boston University.
Emily is the sister of Zooey Deschanel.
Their mother, Mary Jo, acted in Twin Peaks, episodes of which which their father, Caleb, counted amongst his directing credits.
Emily Deschanel plays Dr Temperance Brennan, based on real life Kathy Reichs, in the Fox television series Bones.
Like her sister Zooey, Emily Deschanel was a member of the Interact Theatre Company and has played Natasha in Three Sisters.
In 2004, Interview Magazine named Deschanel one of the six actors to watch.
Her film credits include Cold Mountain, The Alamo, The Boogeyman and Spider-Man 2. She also played Mary Haskins in Glory Road.
In terms of television, before Bones, Emily Deschanel has appeared in Crossing Jordan, Providence, and Law & Order: SVU.
David Boreanaz, describing the chemistry between him and his co-star, was reported as saying:

Emily Deschanel ran through in The Scotsman a week in her life whilst filming Bones in November 2006.
