Who is Nathan Robertson?

Nathan Robertson was born on 30 May 1977 in Nottingham.

He made his England badminton debut against China at 18.

Nathan Robertson and Gail Emms won the silver medal at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games.

In 2006 Robertson and Emms won the mixed doubles world title in 2006 beating England's other mixed doubles partnership Donna Kellogg and Anthony Clark in the final.

In May 2008, the BBC reported that "Nathan Robertson plans to compete at the London 2012 Olympics even though his mixed doubles partner, Gail Emms, will retire after the Beijing Games."

In spite of suffering from an ankle injury and undergoing surgery, Nathan Robertson was declared fit for the Olympic Games in 2008.
