Nicole Scherzinger's Biography
Nicole Scherzinger grew up in Louisville, Kentucky and then majored in theater arts and also studied dance at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.
In 2001, Nicole Scherzinger achieved her first big breakthrough when she won the role of lead singer in Eden's Crush through the TV show Popstars. However, Scherzinger did not enjoy her time with Eden's Crush.
Shortly after the break up of Eden Crush, Nicole Scherzinger was asked to join the Pussycat Dolls as the lead.
The Pussycat Dolls's 2006 debut album PCD sold over nine million copies. Nicole then recorded a series of duets and solo singles before recording the second Pussycat Dolls album, Doll Domination.
In 2009, Nicole Scherzinger recorded a version of Jai Ho adapted from the song from the screenplay to Slumdog Millionaire. The song was a huge hit around the world.
In January 2010, it was revealed that Nicole Scherzinger and Lewis Hamilton had broken up after two years together.
In 2010 Nicole Scherzinger won Dancing with the Stars partnering Derek Hough.
In March 2011, Nicole Scherzinger topped the UK singles chart with Don't Hold Your Breath.
In May 2011, it was announced that Nicole Scherzinger and Steve Jones would host the American version of The X Factor, however it was later revealed that she was taking over from Cheryl Cole as one of the judges.
In 2012, she joined the panel of judges of The X Factor.
In 2014, she made her West End debut playing Grizabella in Cats.
She also performed the song Memory from the show at the Olivier Awards.
However, she pulled out of performing in the musical in the Broadway revival.
Soon after, it was announced that Nicole Scherzinger was to return to The X Factor as a judge.
In 2024, she was named as best actress in a musical in the Olivier Awards and the WhatsOnStage awards for her role in Sunset Boulevard in London's Savoy Theatre.
