Carole Caplin's Biography

Carole Caplin was born on 8 January 1962.

Carole Caplin is a lifestyle adviser, who is also a former model who once posed topless for Men Only magazine. She was also a dancer with Shock, and has appeared on Top of the Pops.

In the past Carole Caplin has dated Gary Numan and Adam Ant.

Caplin contracted ME and became increasingly interested in health, fitness and lifestyle issues, and, with her mother, she set up a lifestyle consultancy company, Lifesmart.

Caplin came to widespread media attention because of her association with Cherie Blair. They met in 1989 in a gym in Islington.

The pair became friends and Carole Chaplin gave Cherie Blair lifestyle advice. Controversy arrived with what became known as "Cheriegate" surrounding the purchase of two apartments in Bristol by Mrs Blair.

It transpired that a discount had been secured by Peter Foster, the boyfriend of Carole Caplin. Foster was a convicted fraudster.

Mrs Blair said that during initial discussions, before Mr Foster's direct involvement, she secured a drop in the purchase price of the flats from £295,000 each to £269,000 each. In March 2006, Carole Caplin together with Adam Reckitt, Jean Christophe Novelli, Freddie Windsor and guide John Hauf appeared in a Channel 5 documentary recreating the survival story from the plane crash in the Andes.

Carole Caplin became a coach and consultant at Bowskill Clinic.
