Kieran Richardson was born on 21st October, 1984, in Greenwich, London.

He plays centre or left midfield.

Richardson started his football career at West Ham but was snapped up by Manchester United and came through the youth system. He made his debut for the full team in the Champions League against Olympiakos on October 23rd, 2002.

Richardson made his home debut in the League Cup against Leicester on 5th November that same year and scored his first goal.

Kieran Richardson was loaned out to West Brom in the January transfer window in 2005 where he played a huge part in keeping them up in the Premiership.

Richardson, however, rejected another loan spell at the Midlands club in the following season in order to claim a regular place in the United side.

He got his first start for Manchester United in the Premiership in their 0-0 draw away to Liverpool in September 2005.

He picked up 6 under 21 caps, but made his full England debut against USA where he scored twice.

Sir Alex Ferguson described Kieran Richardson as one of the best players to come through Manchester United's club academy which is a huge compliment considering the United academy has produced talents such as David Beckham, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and Nicky Butt.

Richardson, however, did not make the England World Cup 2006 squad.

Kieran once bought his cousin, Big Brother housemate Charley Uchea, a mini.

On 16 July 2007, Kieran Richardson was transferred from Manchester United to Sunderland for an undisclosed fee, believed to be around £5.5m.
