Cesc Fabregas's Biography
Cesc Fabregas was born on 4th May, 1987 in Catalonia, Spain.
He is an attacking midfielder. Cesc Fabregas started his career at Barcelona but Arsenal signed him at 16, before he had signed a professional contract with the Spanish giants.
Fabregas is the youngest person to ever play for Arsenal, which he did at the age of 16 and 177 days against Rotherham in the League Cup.
Cesc Fabregas played well in the Arsenal reserves and due to injuries to Edu, Gilberto and Vieira he was rushed into the first team at the beginning of the 2004-05 season.
Cesc Fabregas also became Arsenal's youngest ever scorer and the second youngest scorer in the Champions League.
When Vieira moved to Juventus in the summer of 2005, there were questions over who would replace him. However, Arsene Wenger didn't buy a replacement, instead Fabregas became a first team regular and one of Arsenal's stars.
Cesc Fabregas's skills attracted interest from other clubs, however he put all these rumours to rest when he broke another record by signing the longest contract in Premiership history - eight years.
In March 2006, Fabregas made his debut for Spain.
In April 2008, Cesc Fabregas was named the Professional Footballers' Association's Young Player of the Year.
In December 2008, Cesc Fabregas ruptured his knee ligaments in a match with Liverpool and was ruled out of playing for up to four months.
In 2010 Fabregas was part of Spain's World Cup winning squad and came on as a substitute for Alonso in their 1-0 defeat of Holland in the World Cup final.
On 14 August 2011, after much speculation, Arsenal and Barcelona announced that they had reached an "agreement in principle" over the transfer of Cesc Fabregas.
The next day, Cesc Fabregas signed a five-year contract with Barcelona in a deal reportedly worth £35m to Arsenal.
On 26 August 2011, Cesc Fabregas came on as a substitute to score his first Barcelona goal to help them beat Porto to win the Uefa Super Cup.
Fabregas was an integral part of the Spain squad which won Euro 2012.
In June 2014, Fabregas was signed by Chelsea for a transfer fee of around 33 million Euros.
In January 2019, it was announced that Cesc Fabregas has joined Monaco, managed by Thierry Henry.
