Juergen Maurer's Biography

Who is Juergen Maurer?

He was born on 30 January 1967 in Klagenfurt in Austria.

In 2019 he was cast as police officer Oskar Rheinhardt in the BBC Two drama series Vienna Blood, which is set in Vienna in 1906.

Regarding the role, Maurer told the BBC: "Shooting this series is definitely different to the work I am used to doing in Austria and Germany as a film actor. It’s the first production that I’ve shot in the English language which is very special and I definitely wouldn’t mind becoming familiar to an international audience!"

His other credits include Hals Über Kopf (film), Wilsberg - Unser Taegliches Brot and Neben der Spur (television).
