Natasha Pickowicz's Biography
Natasha Li Pickowicz heralds from San Diego. Her parents both taught at the University of California San Diego.
Her mother was a visual artist from China, and her father was a Chinese film historian.
Her parents have also lived in Hong Kong and Singapore.
Natasha Pickowicz studied Scottish Literature at Cornell University.
She was an arts and entertainment editor at a newspaper before moving to Montreal in 2009 and was an assistant pastry chef at Lawrence restaurant.
She then moved to New York and became a pastry cook at Marlow & Sons and Diner. After a year at Foragers, in 2016 she became an executive pastry chef at Matter House including Cafe Altro Paradiso, Flora Bar and Flora Coffee.
In 2020 she launched the pop-up series Never Ending Taste as well as her community bake sales, which have raised large sums for Planned Parenthood and other organizations.
In 2022, she was named one of Time Magazine's '100 Next'.
In 2023, Natasha wrote the cookbook, More Than Cake: 100 Baking Recipes Built for Pleasure and Community.
