Who is Sarah Crowden?
She was born in Edinburgh in 1955, the daughter of the actor Graham Crowden and his wife Phyllida Hewat.
Sarah Crowden's film acting credits include playing Felicity Liddle in Dustin Hoffman’s Quartet and Lady Fitzwilliam in Mike Leigh's Peterloo Massacre.
Her TV credits include playing Lady Manville in Downton Abbey and Mrs Bennett in Grantchester.
Sarah Crowden's stage credits include, in 2018, playing both the parts of Virginia Woolf and Hilda of Whitby in Hilda & Virginia at the Jermyn Street Theatre.
She also performs stand up comedy using the persona Dame Theresa Thompson's-Gazelle.
