Jonathan Cockburn's Biography
Jonathan Cockburn ran in Sedgefield for The Blair Must Go Party. Previously a Labour Party supporter, Cockburn was so dismayed about Tony Blair's decision to invade Iraq that he decided to stand against the Prime Minister.
Cockburn is widely credited with being one of the first to announce his candidature in Sedgefield and wrote, in December 2002, to Tony Blair saying that he would be standing.

Ironically, Jonathan Cockburn used to be a director of Solar Century.
Cockburn attended Emanuel Grammar School and London University. Before his stint at Solar Century, he was the M.D. of Ascom Elsydel Limited.
Married with three children, Cockburn is 48 years old and enjoys travel, sailing, walking and sheep farming.
