Howard K. Stern was born on 29 November 1968 in Los Angeles, California.
Howard K. Stern went to University of California and graduated from UCLA Law School, passing the bar in 1994.
Howard K. Stern met Anna Nicole Smith in the mid 1990s. He handled her modelling contracts. He also presented Anna Nicole Smith's direct examination at the trial for her late husband J. Howard Marshall II's fortune.
For a while, Stern operated a business called Hot Smoochie Lips.
In 2002, he became well known to a wider public when he was regularly seen on The Anna Nicole Show.
Three days after Anna Nicole Smith's daughter's birth, her son Daniel died from a combination of methadone and anti-depressants. However, 18 days later, Howard K. Stern and Anna Nicole Smith married aboard her catamaran. There were doubts whether the marriage was legally binding.
Howard K. Stern was with Anna Nicole Smith at the time of her death on February 8, 2007. He initially claimed paternity of Smith's daughter Dannielynn but Larry Birkhead was later proved by DNA to be the father.
In May 2009, Howard K. Stern along with Anna Nicole Smith's doctor Sandeep Kapoor and her neighbour Kristine Eroshevich pleaded not guilty to charges that they conspired to provide thousands of prescription drugs to Anna Nicole Smith enabling her fatal drug habit.
Smoking Gun has a copy of a document filed by Rita Cosby, whose book Blonde Ambition was the subject of a defamation lawsuit brought by Howard K. Stern. Blonde Ambition claimed that Stern and Larry Birkhead had engaged in sexual relations.
