Tommy Boyd was born Timothy Leslie Boyd on December 14, 1952 in Middlesex.
His father was a bodybuilder, who knew Arnold Schwarzenegger. He was also a baggage handler at Heathrow Airport.
Tommy Boyd was a TV presenter, most notably on ITV's children's show Magpie.
He also hosted Jigsaw and the Wide Awake Club, before moving into radio where he has hosted talk shows on a number of stations including Talk Radio, LBC, Talksport, BBC Southern Counties, Original 106, and Play Radio.
He is a patron of the charity Snowdrop.
