It was scheduled to launch on BBC One on Saturday 7 January 2017 at 7pm to run over 8 weeks.
Martin Kemp, Dannii Minogue, and Gary Barlow were announced as judges.
Amber Riley was to join the first stage of the competition to give her expert opinion to the budding stars.
Lulu would join at the second stage.
The BBC One Saturday night entertainment show is to be hosted by Graham Norton and Mel Giedroyc.
Guest performers will include Busted, Beverley Knight, Melanie C, Olly Murs and Kaiser Chiefs.
The five winning competitors will tour the UK in a theatre production called The Band, a musical stage show featuring the music of Take That.
