Chris Brosnan is the adopted son of James Bond star Pierce Brosnan.

Chris Brosnan was born in 1973, the son of Dermot (brother of Richard Harris) and Cassandra Harris. Pierce Brosnan later married Cassandra and when Dermot passed away in 1986 he adopted Chris and his sister Charlotte. Pierce and Charlotte also had a son Sean.

His mother, Cassandra passed away in 1991. She had been an actress and appeared in For Your Eyes Only.

In the past, Chris Brosnan got into trouble with the law and developed a drug addiction. He spent time in prison for drink-driving.

The Manchester Evening News quotes a Pierce Brosnan interview with Playboy about Chris, saying:

"Christopher is still very lost. Shockingly so. I know where he is, but he's having a hard life.

"I can only have strong faith and believe he will recover. He has tested everybody in this family but none more so than himself. He knows how to get out. He doesn't want to.

"It's painful because you shut down. You never completely cut them off, but I have cut Christopher off. I had to say, 'Go. Get busy living, or get busy dying.' He has my prayers."

Chris Brosnan went into a rehabilitation clinic and is now 'clean'.

Chris Brosnan has pursued a career 'behind the camera' and directed the Come On England music video.

In 16 April 2007, his home, which he shared with fellow Love Island contestant Lee Otway was featured on Through The Keyhole.
