Lee Otway's Biography
Half way through Love Island Lee Otway may have thought he had found someone in Colleen Shannon but when he found he was barking up the wrong tree he started attacking the set in disgust.
Lee Otway also got into a fracas with Brendan Cole and it was not too long before he was evicted from Love Island after a voting showdown against Chris Brosnan.
Lee Otway was born on 4 January 1982 and comes from Bradford. He told CBBC Newsround: "In Bradford where I'm from, Monday night was teeny-bop night at the local disco - but it was quite far away from us. There weren't many cool places to go to locally. I would have liked more when I was growing up there."
With Hollyoaks, it was a case of third time lucky for Lee. According to Lee Otway's official website:
"Lee initially auditioned for the role of 'Lee Hunter' in Hollyoaks before trying out for the part of 'Jamie Nash' in the same show, and although unsuccessful for both of those roles, the producers immediately recognised Lee's acting potential, and didn't hesitate to cast him in the role of Lee Hunter's school friend, David 'Bombhead' Burke."
Lee Otway won the Stars in Their Eyes - Soap Stars Special in 2005 - performing as Richard Marx; and he also participated in Soapstar Superstar.
An article in Bridlington Today revealed how Lee Otway and Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh were fond of each other as children. It also had photos of a young Lee and an interview with his Mum.
In 16 April 2007, Chris Brosnan was featured on Through The Keyhole and he shares his home with Lee Otway.
