Mutya Buena's Biography
Mutya Buena was 23 when she entered Celebrity Big Brother in January 2009.
Although she survived being nominated and Tina Malone was the second housemate evicted, Mutya Buena left the Big Brother house of her own volition on the same night.
Rosa Isabel Mutya Buena was born on 21 May 1985 in Kingsbury, near Wembley to the north west of London, the daughter of an Irish father and a Filipino mother.
At 13-years-old Mutya Buena co-founded the pop group Sugarbabes. In her seven years with Sugarbabes, they had four number 1 singles in the UK.
In December 2005 Mutya Buena left Sugarbabes, having given birth to a daughter in March.
Subsequently, Mutya Buena developed a solo career, which included a number of top 10 solo hits. The BBC carried a review of her debut solo album, Real Girl.
She was nominated in 2007 for a MOBO for best newcomer.
Mutya Buena has 8 dogs and 14 tattoos. Although she said she was looking to take two off. She got her first tattoo when she was 15.
On 3 March 2010 the BBC reported that Mutya Buena had applied for legal ownership of the Sugababes name.
