Steve Gill was the second housemate to enter Big Brother 2010.

Steve along with Corin, Sam and John James narrowly missed out on being in the final 5 housemates when they were all evicted on Day 74 of Big Brother series 11.

The ex-serviceman amputee was 40-years-old and living in Leicester with his second wife of 14 years when he entered the Big Brother house.

He has eight children.

When Steve Gill was 20 he was injured by a roadside bomb whilst on patrol in Belfast.

He lost both of his legs as well as an eye in the explosion. He now wears a black glass eye and has metal legs.

He told the Big Brother housemates that his favourite tattoo was the one depicting the bomb that cost him his legs because it was "laughing in the face of adversity."

Since the bomb, Steve Gill has sailed across the Atlantic and took part in the Royal Ocean Yacht Race.

He is a wheelchair basketball player and coach.

Steve Gill has numerous tattoos. His first was of a girl's name when he was 15. He had it covered over.
