Josie Gibson's Biography

Josie Gibson was the first housemate to enter Big Brother 2010 and she ended up winning the show.

Josie won Big Brother series 11 with an overwhelming 77.5% of the vote.

She told Davina McCall that she was giving £20,000 to the cancer charity Clic, and, if the government would not help, she would use her winnings to buy BB11 housemate Steve Gill a new pair of legs.

Immediately after winning Big Brother series 11, Josie Gibson went back into the Big Brother house as one of the ultimate housemates.

However, after just 2 days, Josie Gibson walked out of Ultimate Big Brother, and was met by fellow series 11 housemate and love interest John James Parton.

At the time of Big Brother, Josie was a 25-year-old sales rep from Bristol.

She has always been around horses (her mother broke them for a living) and before Big Brother, Josie lived in log cabin in her aunty's farm in Westerleigh, near Yate, having left home at 14.

The Sun reported that the aunt Kay Gibson's mother (Josie's grandmother) was on the run since being caught with £240k worth of drugs.

Josie used to work in Bristol Parkway station.

Josie Gibson used to be a successful financial sales rep, but at the weekend she has started to MC at house parties.

Josie has been expelled from two schools.

Her nickname is Boo.

In February 2011, Josie Gibson, still going out with John James Parton, opened CLIC Sargent's first dedicated vintage shop in Bishopston.

In 2011, Channel Five transmitted a three-part series There's Something About Josie, which followed Josie Gibson in her life after winning Big Brother.

In 2013, OK magazine carried an interview with Josie Gibson about winning Big Brother, her relationship with her fiance Luke Sanwo, her weight loss, and her DVD Josie Gibson's 30 Second Slim.

Josie, who lost 6 stone, also wrote a recipe book Love Food, Josie Gibson. She also founded a website slimmables.com.

In December 2016, it was revealed that Josie Gibson would be one of the celebrities to appear on the fourth series of Channel Four's The Jump.

She was the first contestant to be eliminated from The Jump series 4.

Josie had a son Reggie-James, whom she brought on to the show Loose Women.

Since then she has been an announcer and presenter on This Morning.

In 2023, she came fourth on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!
