Tom Green was married to Drew Barrymore, but they broke up after less than a year of marriage. Tom Green and Drew Barrymore had married in the South Pacific in March 2001 and then remarried in July in a ceremony in Malibu, California.

In 2005, Green wrote his autobiography, Hollywood Causes Cancer: The Tom Green Story.

Tom Green, who had testicular cancer, broadcast The Tom Green Cancer Special, and, in 2009, his appearance on Celebrity Apprentice was on behalf of the charity, Butch Walts and Donald Skinner Urologic Cancer Research Foundation.
