Apprentice series 5 had only 15 contestants as Adam Freeman pulled out with very little time left before the start of filming and the producers decided not to introduce a substitute.

Adam Freeman was a 30-year-old entrepreneur, who made a lot of money from his first company selling ringtones when he was just 20.

The Apprentice series 4 ran for 12 weeks on BBC One from Wednesday March 26 2008 at 9pm and was eventually won by Lee McQueen.

Series 3 of the Apprentice was won by Simon Ambrose.

Series 2 was won by Michelle Dewberry.

Series 1 was won by Tim Campbell.

The first four series have proved very popular with viewers and critics alike.
