Jermaine Jackson, older brother of Michael Jackson, was born on 11 December 1954 in Gary, Indiana.
Jermaine Jackson was just 10 went he started with The Jackson Five, who were signed to Motown in 1969 and enjoyed massive chart success with songs like I Want You Back, ABC and Let It Be. Jermaine Jackson was replaced by his brother Randy in 1975.
Jermaine Jackson married Hazel Gordy, daughter of Motown founder Berry Gordy and had a solo career with the label releasing tracks like Let's Be Young Tonight (1975).
Other hits included Let's Get Serious and Dynamite, which was released after he left Motown.
Jermaine Jackson broke up with Hazel Gordy and later, in 1995 he married Alejandra. Their children included the originally named Jermajesty, but they broke up in 2004.
Jermaine Jackson had converted to Islam in 1989, and according to Channel 4's Big Brother's profile called himself Muhammad Abdul Aziz and lived in Dubai.
In the opening show of Celebrity Big Brother, Jermaine Jackson revealed that he is very picky about germs and won't touch door knobs.
However, throughout the series Jermaine Jackson proved very popular and ended up coming second in Celebrity Big Brother.
In his eviction interview with Davina McCall, Jermaine Jackson revealed that he was mounting a musical on his family to be launched in the UK.
In April 2007, Variety, in an article Jacksons, CBS team for Dynasty reported that CBS is teaming up with three members of the Jackson family, including Jermaine for 'Pop Dynasty'. It will be a competition designed to find a new superstar singing family.
In March 2011, it was announced that Jermaine Jackson was publishing a memoir You Are Not Alone: Michael, Through a Brother's Eyes, later in the year.
