Jo O'Meara's Biography
Jo O'Meara already had a record deal at 16 in Solid Harmonie and then in 2-4 Family.
However, it was not until Simon Fuller's 19 Management put together a new pop band called S Club 7 that Jo O'Meara achieved fame.
With Jo O'Meara as lead vocalist, S Club 7, which also included Rachel Stevens, had 11 Top Ten hits including four number ones, however in 2003 they broke up.
Jo O'Meara had a break and then released her debut single What Hurts The Most, which reached number 13 in the UK chart.
Jo O'Meara appeared in the BBC's Just The Two Us and finished third mentoring Chris Fountain.
In January 2007, Jo O'Meara was evicted from Celebrity Big Brother with two days to go. She had been nominated along with Cleo Rocos, Dirk Benedict, Shilpa Shetty and Ian Watkins and got roughly 48% of the vote.
On her eviction, Davina McCall gave Jo O'Meara an unusually tough interview based around her alleged racism towards and bullying of Shilpa Shetty along with Jade Goody and Danielle Lloyd.
The aftermath of the Celebrity Big Brother experience proved traumatic for Jo O'Meara. She told Sky News:
"I have got to pick the pieces up or I will end up going mad - more mad than I am. I don't think you can get much lower."
Jo O'Meara also breeds dogs and has two tattoos on her bottom.
