Fern Britton's Biography
Fern Britton was born on 17 July 1957 in London, the daughter of actor Tony Britton, who died in December 2019, aged 95.
She has presented a number of high profile television shows, including Ready, Steady, Cook; This Morning; Mr and Mrs; and Fern Britton Meets....
She worked on This Morning for 10 years until her last show on her birthday on 17 July 2009.
Fern Britton has written an autobiography Fern: My Story.
In 2012, she was paired with Artem Chigvintsev on Strictly Come Dancing series 10.
They were the fifth couple to be voted off.
She had previously appeared on the 2010 Christmas special of Strictly Come Dancing.
In 2016, Fern Britton presented For What It's Worth, an antiques quiz show on BBC1.
She has also written a series of novels based around life in a Cornish Village.
In 2016, Fern Britton Meets… returned to the BBC for its eighth series.
In 2017, BBC One broadcast Fern Britton's Holy Land Journey as part of their Easter programming.
In 2017, she hosted Culinary Genius on ITV.
In 2023, she was one of the celebrities to appear on the Channel 5 series No Place Like Home.
In 2024, she became one of the contestants on Celebrity Big Brother. She came fifth.
