Vana Koutsomitis's Biography
Vana Koutsomitis was a 27 year old social media entrepreneur living in Barcelona when she entered The Apprentice in 2015.
She was born in July 1987 in New York to a Colombian mother and a Greek father. She moved to London in 2009 to pursue a career in financial services.
Vana speaks five languages: Spanish, Greek, French, Mandarin and English. She gained a BS from Cornell University and an MBA from Oxford University.
After a brief spell in finance, she started her own networking company for financial services professionals called The CityStreet.
She has other businesses including Vino by Vana.
Vana Koutsomitis along with Joseph Valente reached the final of The Apprentice series 11.
However, Vana ended up runner-up. It became apparent that her business plan of developing a dating/gaming app would require more than the £250,000 funding available to the winner of The Apprentice.
She went on to set up DatePlay.
She was interviewed about her approach to fundraising.
