In 2023, Avi Sharma became one of the candidates on The Apprentice. He was fired in the same week as Bradley Johnson. They camne joint seventh.
In August 2022, Avi Sharma left his job as pricing and operational optimisation manager at Barclays Bank to host Avi TV full-time.
Avi TV had just over 600 subscribers on YouTube a few days before The Apprentice was broadcast.
He had set up Avi TV and another project Visiby in 2020.
Visiby aims to "help artists sell their work online by giving their audience an immersive experience."
Avi Sharma had studied at Mill Hill county High School and gained a degree in Economics at Nottingham University.
In December 2022, he posted on LinkedIn an assessment of how far he had achieved his goals:
"Five years on, I notice how almost NONE of these things happened for me! I scraped a 2:1 in my Economics degree (59% average). My uni very kindly rounded up the grade. I got booted off NEFS (Nottingham Economics & Finance Society) for lying on my CV. My Presidential dreams in the bin. I got a job at Barclays but quit after 3 years. NOT after 10 years. Five years later, I do not have a single property to my name ..."
