Shannon Martin became a candidate in The Apprentice in 2023.
Shannon studied at Colne Valley High School Huddersfield and then did a BTEC in Sports and Exercise Science at New College Huddersfield.
She spent a year as store manager in Cath Kitson in Meadowhall, and after short stints at Victoria's Secret and Sports Direct International, she set up Evelyn Taylor Bridal and then Dotty Bridal selling designer wedding dresses in Huddersfield.
Shannon Martin had the inspiration for opening her own bridal shop because of her own wedding.

Shannon, who at the time had Dotty Bridal in Holmfirth and Off The Peg in Denby Dale, said lockdown for her was hard work, not a time to sit back.
She set up a new venture, DOT Branding, to advise businesses on branding, marketing and social media.

Shannon decided to pull out of The Apprentice in the second week. Her idea for a business partnership with Lord Sugar had been for a wedding dress company, where the dresses were manufactured in the UK.
