Megan Hine's Biography
Megan Hine's father was a geologist and he introduced her to the outdoor life. By the time she was 6 years old, she had already scaled Mount Snowdon in Wales.
In her teens she was a military cadet.
Before university, Megan Hine took a year out in New Zealand and trained as a raft guide.
Towards the end of her degree she was inspired by a talk on bushcraft and applied for an apprenticeship with a bushcraft company.
Megan Hine went on to be an adventurer, expedition guide, and television consultant.
Amongst her notable television credits is being an expert and survival captain on ITV’s Bear Grylls: Mission Survive.
She is a member of the Adventure Film Collective, and spends 11 months a year on expeditions or on training trips.
Trivia
In 2007 Megan nearly died after contracting Lyme disease from a tick bite.
